Hossein Zarei Oshtolagh

Welcome to my website!

My name is Hossein Zarei Oshtolagh, and I am a PhD researcher at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany.

I am interested in nearly all fields of astronomy, but currently, I am more focused on planets and moons outside our Solar System. My master's thesis is about an investigation of exoplanetary systems to find their exomoons, based on their light curves produced by the space telescopes such as TESS and Kepler.

In addition, I am interested in machine learning methods and their application in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. Mostly I use Gaussian Processes, Linear Regression, and Hamiltonian Monte Carlo methods to advance my research.
